Orbit CC was founded by lead coach Dave Ryan in 2018.  In 2021 Orbit HQ moved to Malaysia to allow the full time work on the needs of our riders.  We still focus on riders in the UK and keep very much up to date with the latest race/training developments back home.

Dave comes from a Sport Science background, which he studied at the University of Birmingham.  He has been able to apply this knowledge during his many years of experience in cycle sport.  Dave's coaching journey started at his local club, as a volunteer.  He has worked at both the Olympic Velodrome in London and for British Cycling since 2014, and became a Level 3 coach in 2016.

At British Cycling, Dave worked regionally, helping coaches, clubs and talented riders achieve their full potential.  With many riders coming through the talent pathway and onto the elite stage.

Orbit was founded with a strong philosophy in mind. We believe in a holistic approach to coaching, focusing not just on performance, but also mental well being. This is to make sure you are in the best place to achieve your goals (and to enjoy the journey along the way!).

Our speciality areas of focus are Road, TT, CX and Track disciplines. However, if off road is more your thing, we know some great coaches in both BMX and MTB. Let us know if you need a recommendation!
